Who would have ever dreamed that we'd actually set aside a day to plan our own epitaph...but we did...and today's that day. "Plan Your Epitaph Day". Wondering what mine might say, I began to search for some Famous Epitaphs to get a few ideas but most famous people have really boring epitaphs.  Like the epitaph of Stan Laurel of "Laurel and Hardy" -

"A MASTER OF COMEDY HIS GENIUS IN THE ART OF HUMOUR BROUGHT GLADNESS TO THE WORLD HE LOVED"

That's when I discovered some of the best ideas anywhere.  Check out Digital Dream Door if you might want a few suggestions.  Like B.P. Roberts who lies in a Georgia cemetery who's epitaph simply reads:

I told you I was sick.

And the epitaph for Margaret Daniels in Virginia:

She always said her feet were killing her but nobody believed her.

Then there's Anna Hopewell's tombstone in Vermont that reads:

Here lies the body of our Anna
Done to death by a banana
It wasn't the fruit that laid her low
But the skin of the thing that made her go.

So deciding that it would be much better to be "funny" than boring, I think I came across the best idea for my epitaph.

Here lies Gary McCoy
Age 102
Only The Good Die Young
