Time To Sight In That Deer Rifle At Caddo Sheriff’s Training Academy

Deer season is so close now I can almost smell the fried backstrap!  Course, that means it's time for the annual "sighting in of your deer rifle. " And Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator is making it easy again this year.  He's making the Sheriff’s Training Academy firing range available to the public for sighting in rifles and muzzleloaders absolutely free.  Saturday, October 1st from 8am until Noon for muzzleloaders only.  Then October 8th and 15th, also from 8am until Noon for deer rifles only.  Targets will be furnished and shooters will be assisted by state-certified firearms instructors. Shooters must provide their own ammunition, and eye and ear protection, and required to arrive with unloaded weapons. The Academy is located on Highway 1 South, directly in front of Lock and Dam #5.
