
Bossier City Lions Club Football Jamboree Returns On August 28
Despite this incredible heat wave with temperatures over 100, football season is almost here in Northwest Louisiana!


The NFL has begun its series of pre-season games with both the Cowboys and Saints having games again this Saturday.
LSU's season opener with Clemson is less than three weeks away on Saturday, September 5, and we're only ten days from the kickoff of high school football!
On Friday, August 28 High School Football Returns To Bossier
That's right, in just ten days, it's time for some Friday Night Lights again!
High School football returns on Friday night, August 28 with the Bossier City Lions Club 73rd Annual High School Football Jamboree!
According to the Bossier City Lions Club, once again, all six Bossier Parish High School football teams will make appearances in this annual event.
The Jamboree Is Incredibly Important To The Bossier Lions Club

This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Bossier Lions Club, who do so many incredible things with the funds including:
- Award a college scholarship to a student from each Bossier Parish school
- Send special needs children to the Louisiana Lions Camp in Leesville, La. at no charge
- Fund free eye exams and glasses for school children who can't afford them

There are so many other things they do, but you can see just how many will benefit from these games.
Gates will open at 4:30 pm with pre-game festivities slated to start at 5:15 pm.
It will be once again held at Airline High School and will feature three games, each only two quarters long, beginning at 5:45 pm.
Here are this year's matchups:
- Benton and Haughton kickoff at 5:45 pm
- Plain Dealing and Bossier kickoff at 7:15 pm
- Airline and Parkway kickoff at 8:45 pm
Bands, dance lines and cheerleaders will also be featured.
