This Week’s Caught in the Act Award Goes to Troy Phillips [VIDEO]

Troy Phillips isn't from here, but he's definitely proving that we are lucky to have him! In a nomination letter we received from his niece, Hailey Bardouski, we learn that Troy is exactly the type of person we look for each week as we name the recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

His commitment to those around him, both two-legged and four-legged, has made him the hero of his niece and all of us for that matter!

Just take a look at that letter and you'll see why we were so impressed!

My uncle Troy is the most selfless and down to earth person I've ever known. Not only is he my hero because he's my uncle but because of many years of being in the military and fighting for our country. He goes above and beyond when it comes to helping others. He just helped a lady that was lost and confused the other night on his way home. He follows several Facebook sites for dog pages and helps catch them and tries to find their owners. He helped find animals and clean up when the storms came through really bad. Just today he went and helped someone fix their fence because their dogs kept getting out and he was worried about them and offered a hand. Troy now owns All Dogs Unleashed and is an amazing trainer and even helped trained the new caddo K9 Rougie. He does so many great things and is constantly helping someone else that it would take me a million years to list them out . He's everything I aspire to be and this world needs more people like him. I'm thankful for everything you do for others, for your friends and family, and am thankful I have someone to look up to everyday. I love you and I couldn't think of anyone else that deserves this more than you. Thanks for being my hero and hundreds of others as well.

Troy Phillips, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and being a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
