One thing I will never ever take for granted about calling the Shreveport Bossier area home is the amazing food we have here. My brother who is a chef and owns several restaurants often comes into town to get his “Lucky Palace Fix”. A restaurant I have kept hearing about and haven’t gotten around to visiting is El Cabo Verde. My family has a list of restaurants to try and we decided today was the day to grab appetizers at El Cabo Verde.

We got on the road to El Cabo Verde and I was sure that we had typed in the wrong address. After a 25 minute drive we ended up in one of the most lovely communities I’ve ever seen. Several people had our same idea of enjoying a beautiful patio. The waitstaff was second to none. We started off with the guacamole, it was creamy and delicious. The mango margarita was pretty tasty too. We loved the sampler platter, which had flautas, quesadillas, sopes, and a tamale. I found a new spot with some of the best chips and salsa! I realized that people love El Cabo Verde not just because of the food and waitstaff. People love the experience, the packed patio proved it. The location makes you think you’re in the setting of a beautiful movie which is never a bad thing right? Check out El Cabo Verde, you’ll love it too. What are some other local restaurants in the area that you love?
