Third Grader’s Cupcakes Topped With Toy Soldiers Confiscated By School

What is this world coming to?  In a society that has removed God and discipline from schools, we're now confiscating third grader's cupcakes because they're topped with toy soldiers.  In a story reported by Yahoo.com we learn that officials at Schall Elementary School in Michigan confiscated a third-grade boy’s batch of 30 homemade birthday cupcakes because they were topped with green plastic figurines representing World War Two soldiers.

In fact, the school principal went on to say that the military-themed cupcakes were “insensitive” in light of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

“It disgusted me,” Casey Fountain, the boy’s father, told Fox News. “It’s vile they lump true American heroes with psychopathic killers.”

Fountain explained that his wife and son Hunter made and decorated the cupcakes. The next morning, Fountain’s wife dropped off the cupcakes to the school's front office.

“About 15 minutes later the school called my wife and told her they couldn’t serve the cupcakes because the soldiers had guns,” Fountain told Fox News. “My wife told them to remove the soldiers and serve the cupcakes anyway — and I believe she may have used more colorful language.”

“We’re just taking political correctness too far,” the angry father added.

Speaking to her local media, the school's principal Susan Wright Susan Wright affirmed her decision to reject the cupcakes “These are toys that were commonplace in the past,” Wright said. “However, some parents prohibit all guns as toys. So the school offered to replace the soldiers with another item and the soldiers were returned home with the student.”

I'm just guessing that her mindset is that a soldier represents the equivalent of a psychopathic killer.  Again, my question, what is this world coming to?
