Garage Sales have their purpose in life.  There's no better place to get a steal on old dishes or a rod and reel, but there are certain things that should NEVER be purchased at a garage sale.On the serious side, according to Reader's Digest, there are several things like bicycle and motorcycle helmets that should always be purchased NEW.  These are meant to prevent serious injury or death and are certainly not "garage sale material".  But as in most areas we explore, it's not our job to be "serious".  We put our head together with a huge number of Kiss Country listeners and decided these things should NEVER be purchased at a garage sale either:

  • Underwear.  Even if it's in a package that's almost completely sealed.
  • Toothbrush
  • Sheets or bedding
  • Bicycle seats
  • Socks
  • Swim suit
  • Stuffed animals or baby toys of any kind
  • Brush or comb
  • Dentures
  • Hypodermic Needles

Hey if you think of something that needs to be added to the list, feel free to add to the list.
