The Barstool Fund has struck in the SBC again!

Last week, I brought you the story about our very own Herby K's (home of the Shrimp Buster) being selected to receive a $5,000 donation from the Barstool Fund.  In a time when local businesses (especially restaurants and bars) are having a near-impossible time keeping their heads above water, that's the kind of cash that can keep you in business.

Now, the good Samaritans at the Barstool Fund have selected another one of our favorite spots (this time in Bossier City) to receive this much-needed blessing.  According to the ArkLaTex Homepage, End Zone Sports Bar got the word today that they would be getting assistance from the fund established in December of last year to help restaurants across the country.

Dave Portnoy (the founder of Barstool Sports and the Barstool Fund) called the owner of End Zone (Joanna Folse Alexander) to inform her that even though the pandemic had dealt this favored watering hole a rotten hand, Barstool had their back.

The Barstool fund was founded on December 17th of last year, and so far has raised around $33 million and helped close to 200 businesses keep their doors open.  It's also worth noting that the fund is spearheaded by Penn Gaming (owners of Margaritaville in Bossier City).  The company has provided about $4.6 million to back the fund so far.
