Through its network of mutual aid, SWEPCO has 150 utility workers from Ft. Worth, Abilene, and Austin, Texas to assist with power restoration.

Strong storms have moved through Shreveport Bossier. A tornado warning was in effect for a part of Bossier Parish this morning. That storm moved into Minden in Webster Parish where dozens of folks were left without power.

Turner Elementary and Turner Middle School along with Huntington High School in west Shreveport will be closed today (Monday, October 21st.)
