Carrie Underwood returned to the stage for the first time since the birth of her son at the CMT Music Awards Wednesday night (June 10), but her most entertaining performance took place offstage.

From Black Water Bride and Parmalee to headliner Sara Evans, the stars rocked the stage and kept the crowd on their feet in downtown in Shreveport's Festival Plaza. And when they weren't dancing to the music, festival-goers enjoyed an array of vendors and attractions...

Matt Thomas, the front man/lead singer for Parmalee spent some time with us this morning and from the sounds of it, he's just a regular guy.  In fact, while we did the interview, he was putting the finishing touches on his truck (A Chevy, thank you) having just washed it and readying to "clean the rims."

Parmalee say their motto is "Keep on plugging!" On Thursday night in Rootstown, Ohio they had to keep plugging when a power outage kept them from plugging in. Fans with cell phones lit the stage and then helped the country quartet get through their new song "Already Callin' You Mine."
