NASCAR invited a rock band called Madison Rising to sing The Star-Spangled Banner before the Nationwide Rice Saturday in Daytona. Their hard rock version of our National Anthem was not well received as can be seen on the faces of military personnel onsite NASCAR drivers, crews and the audience as well.

NASCAR Driver Jason Leffler Killed in Crash
Nascar driver Jason Leffler was killed last night in a crash during a Sprint Car race at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey. Leffler a two-time winner on the NASCAR Nationwide Series who had the nickname "LefTurn" on his race cars was taking part in "Night of Wings," a 25-lap event for sprint cars with a $7,000 prize.
