Memorial Day

On Memorial Day, we remember our fallen American soldiers who have sacrificed their lives in all wars. These heroes fought for our freedom without selfishly thinking of what could be at stake for them and their families.

In this week's "Minute With the Manager" our GM, Lisa Janes, salutes those men and women in charge of the charcoal this weekend.  Take a listen!

The service men and women of our country make huge sacrifices to fight battles on our behalf and keep the freedoms we hold dear. One of those sacrifices is being away from their families and loved ones for long periods of time. The only thing that makes this sacrifice bearable for most is the incredible sweetness of coming home, even if it is only for a short leave.

A friend emailed the following story to us and with Memorial Day coming Monday, we felt there was no better time to post it.  The original author is unknown. THE BEST DOG STORY They told me the big black Lab's name was Reggie, as I looked at him lying in his pen. The shelter was clean, no-kill, and the people were really friendly.
