Louisiana's school voucher program is on track to become the most expansive nationwide program of its kind. With the potential to give parents control over tax dollars used for education, this program is causing quite a stir. Is it fair to teachers? Is it fair to parents who are paying for the private education of their children?
Through their "Discovering Tomorrow's Leaders" program Chesapeake Energy Corporation awarded $16,000 to area schools, recognizing young leaders in our community. Students in Bossier and Caddo parishes were recognized for their outstanding service in organizations such as 4H and FCA.
Chesapeake Energy Corporation celebrated the outstanding leadership skills of Parkway High School and Booker T. Washington New Tech High School students Chelsea Feducia and Myracle Harris by donating $1,000 in needed equipment and supplies to each of their schools.
