Easter on the Bayou

What looked to be the start of a dreary day for Easter on the Bayou turned out to be a great day full of fun. There were many colorful, candy-filled eggs scattered throughout the woods for the children to hunt, good food and other fun activities for the families to enjoy.

We're crossing our fingers that Mother Nature doesn't hit Cypress Black Bayou with rain this Saturday (March 23) and make us reschedule Easter on the Bayou, but if she does we have a rain date set.

Okay, I love my kids as much as any Dad, so forgive me if I think Easter is not the time to deny my boys all the wonders of sugar induced highs and give them "healthy snacks."

Kiss Country's annual Metro PCS "Easter on the Bayou" at Cypress Black Bayou Recreation Area is this Saturday, March 23.  Gates open at 8am and all the activities begin at 10am.
