It’s official: the forecast can’t stop the flavor. Taco Wars 2026 is proceeding as planned this Saturday, May 2nd. While there was a backup "rain day" scheduled for June, the Prize Foundation has officially given the green light to move forward.

To help us prepare our stomachs for the battle ahead, they’ve released the ultimate roadmap: The Official 2026 Menu.

With 13 local taquerias competing, the strategy is all about the "star" entries. If you’re looking to taste the best of the best, keep an eye out for these heavy hitters:

El Novillo is bringing the Discada (Mix) as their top entry.

La Villa Taqueria is betting on their Trompo.

Mi Meza Latin Cuisine is serving up a star-rated Birria Taco.

Taquería San Miguel has a unique Brisket Cheese taco ready for the ring.

If you have a sweet tooth or need a break from the spice, the "Snacks + More" section is stacked. You can grab Churros Vianney, an Elote en Vaso from Elotes El Vale, or even a refreshing Geauxsicle.
