Steve Wardlaw is the Latest Recipient of Caught in the Act Award

Whenever you get a Caught in the Act nomination from someone who goes by the name 'Monkey,' you have to sit up and take notice... and boy are we glad we did, because Steve Wardlaw seems like a great guy... definitely someone you would want on your team in this game called life! What can I say about Steve? Well I have known Steve for a little over a year now, and I have never met someone kinder. I don’t think he ever sleeps, but in his free time, he is helping others. He spends at least one day out of every week as a counselor for men at his church. He also heads up the Shoe ministry for children that don’t have shoes to wear to school. He makes sure that hundreds of young children get new shoes, children that probably don’t get much at all. Steve is a role model and a mentor to everyone he works with. He works for a construction company, and is always willing to drop what he is doing to answer a question, help someone with their house plans, or just answer an email. I can’t think of a time that he was not willing to go out of his way if someone needed help. I also can’t think of a time that he wasn’t willing to just listen. A lot of people think that gifts or actions solve problems, but really, a kind ear is all you need. On top of all of this, he is a wonderful father! He is putting two daughters through college, and is always willing to help them. No matter what is going on, his daughters come first. Now days, this is a hard quality to find in men. I know some men put their kids on the back burner, but this man does not. He puts his own happiness last. I know you probably get hundreds of letters for people doing good, especially this time of year, but this man is doing good every day! So even if he doesn’t get the Kiss Country Caught in the Act award, please save this letter because he deserves to be recognized, because he is always going out of his way for other people.
