
New Research Says Shreveport is the 4th Unhealthiest City in the US
If the latest findings from WalletHub are accurate, there are only three cities in America that are less healthy than Shreveport.

Of the research, Chip Lupo, WalletHub analyst says, "Staying healthy is a personal responsibility, and everyone should strive to eat nutritious food, exercise regularly and look after their mental health. However, where people live can have a big influence on how successful they are at staying in good health, so the best cities are the ones that provide the greatest access to high-quality healthcare, green spaces, recreation centers, and healthy food.”
Double Whammy As Louisiana Is Most Stressed And Shreveport Is Least Healthy
Not long ago we found out that Louisiana is the most stressed out state in America, and now apparently, we are lacking in regards to overall health, specifically in Shreveport, which ranked as the 4th Unhealthiest City in the entire country. Only Brownsville, Texas, Gulfport, Mississippi and Laredo, Texas were determined to be worse off than Shreveport.

WalletHub rated a total of 182 cities across the U.S. on over forty key health indicators including:
- Health care, including several variables like the cost of a doctor visit
- Food, including overall amount of fruit and vegetable consumption
- Fitness, including the percentage of adults who are physically active
- Green space
Shreveport Was Dead Last In The Survey Regarding The Food We Eat
Overall, Shreveport received a total health score of 28.34 as we ranked 152nd in health care, dead last (182nd) in food rank, 178th in fitness and 167th in green space.
After the dust settled from the number crunching, San Francisco, California, was again determined to be the healthiest city in the country, followed by San Diego and Seattle.
