Shreveport Police Department Wants to Hire You

Have you always wanted to make a difference? Have you dreamt of becoming an officer of the law? Well, the Shreveport Police Department is hiring and they are hoping that you stop by their open house event.

We spoke to Officer Peter Pollitt who said the Open House is open to everyone in the community. He described the day as a fun day for you and your whole family. Saturday, September 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. you can go by meet several police officers and find out more about what they do and how they serve our community. K9 Units, CSI Units, SWAT, and others will be on hand to share what they do on a daily basis.

If you have ever wondered about being in any form of law enforcement this may be an easy way for you to check it out without the pressure. Make sure you bring your drivers license, birth certificate, and high school diploma if you would like to submit your application.

Food will be provided and it is also a great opportunity for kids to familiarize themselves with the members of our community who keep us safe.
