SHREVEPORT, LA  - A big change is on the way for drivers in Shreveport. The state Office of Motor Vehicles is moving from southwest Shreveport to a new site in west Shreveport. This move is expected to happen as soon as the new location is renovated. State leaders tell us this move should happen by the fall of next year. But it could happen sooner, if the remodel happens quicker.

Where Will the New Office Be?

OMV officials tell us the new office is at 6005 Financial Plaza near Raspberry Lane. This means the Shreveport location, like the Bossier City operation will be on the frontage road to I-20 making it much more accessible for motorists. The new location is getting a facelift to make it much more modern than the older location on Normandie Drive in southwest Shreveport.
