Shreveport Area Musician to Make National Debut on NBC’s ‘The Voice’
If you like your music with a side of twang and a nice beard, you're going to want to be watching the premiere of NBC's The Voice on March 6th for one of Shreveport, LA's own talented musicians.
If you've never seen Ole Whiskey Revival, you're missing out. Think honky tonk southern rock outlaw country. I absolutely love watching these guys play and try to catch their shows whenever I can. Alex Troegel aka Al Boogie, their lead singer, from Mansfield, has auditioned for The Voice and will be appearing on the premiere episode of season 23 coming up on Monday, March 6, 2023, locally on NBC station KTAL Channel 6.
Here's the deal, Alex can't say much about what's going on at this point for legal reasons but it's Blake Shelton's last season as a coach on The Voice and if he has the chance to be on Team Blake, and doesn't take it, I'm going to wring his neck myself. The other coaches this season are Chance to Rapper, Niall Horan, and Kelly Clarkson. While I love Kelly, I think Blake is the perfect fit for Alex's style.
Alex is the 37-year-old son of Bill and Sherri Troegel. He grew up in Mansfield, went to LSU Shreveport, and is married to Stacey Lynn Brown Troegel. He's also a father, a dog dad, a good musician, an entertainer, and by all accounts, a good guy.
What does the future hold for Alex? He can't say. But I sure hope it's a spot on Team Blake and a straight shot to the finals and then on to fame and fortune!
