Saints Owner Pays Off Over $100,000 in Layaway Items at a Walmart

Gayle Benson became the sole owner of New Orleans Saints and the Pelicans after her husband Tom Benson passed away in March. Gayle Benson was caught spreading Christmas cheer in her team's hometown. Several news outlets have reported that Benson has paid off over 400 different layaway orders which racked up the pay off cost to over $100,000! Several families who shopped at the Tchoupitoulas Street Walmart store in New Orleans will have a crazy surprise waiting for them when they show up to pay off their layaway. NOLA.com reports that a Saints spokesman says Benson made the gift on her own.
