A mother's love for her children is generally unequivocal, but in certain cases, it goes well beyond that!

Such is the case of Rajah Cox! Her mother, Madelyne Cox, is pretty candid about her awe of her own daughter. Madelyne wrote us about Rajah, and the pride literally oozed from the letter. Course, anyone with a daughter as amazing as Rajah would probably feel the same way. But Madelyne just couldn't keep it to herself, and we're thankful she couldn't. Without her letter, we would have never known that this awesome young woman was out there making a difference in so many lives.

And that's why Rajah is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just look at the nomination we got from her Mom.

My daughter is an amazing individual. She is considered "special needs" in the Caddo Parish school system, but she is "special" to so many people in other ways. She graduated from Walnut Hill Middle School last year and has recently begun her High School Career at Pathways in Education. She has excelled so much since enrolling in August. She has returned to Walnut Hill and has read to two of the kindergarten classes and will be returning this coming Friday to read to more classes. She has volunteered at First Baptist Greenwood to assist with their Thanksgiving dinner also. She is working on volunteering at The Hub in downtown Shreveport also. She has a heart of gold and wants to help out everyone in need. She put together a lemonade stand last Summer and donated some of the funds to the "Fight Like Emilie" Foundation. We may not have much to give, but she finds a way to constan tly give...even if it is just a simple compliment to someone that she has just met. Oh, forgot to mention (have to brag a bit more) even with her struggles in school, she has worked so hard and should reach Sophomore status in January or February. She is a shining example that nothing is impossible. I think Dory said it best "Just keep swimming" !!!

Rajah Cox, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Rajah to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
