A lot of people around the country have been protesting since Donald Trump was elected President of The United States. Now, protesters have hit the streets of New Orleans.

Sure, protesting is part of our constitutional rights, but the constitution states that it must be done peacefully. Unfortuantely, some of the protests have gotten violent and property has been damaged.

In New Orleans, the Robert E Lee monument was defaced by protesters and it has left a scar on the city of New Orleans.

The language left behind by protesters is discouraging. Like President Obama stated Wednesday, we are all one and it's time we come together.

In addition to this incident, several windows were shattered at a bank on St. Charles Ave. in the Crescent City.

Let's pray that our country comes together as one and unites. Protesting with the use of violence and destruction is certainly not the answer.
