Two of our local High School football programs continue Friday night in their quest for a Louisiana High School Football State championship.

Both Parkway and Haynesville will play in the LHSAA Semi-Finals tomorrow night.

In Class 5A action, Parkway will travel to Zachary for a 7:00 pm kickoff.  While both teams sport 12-1 records, Parkway will be forced to beat a team who's not lost a game at home this entire season.  With a win tomorrow night, Parkway will travel to the Super Dome next Saturday, December 12 for the State Championship game at 7:00 pm with the winner of tomorrow night's contest between John Ehret and Mandeville.

In Class 1A, 3rd ranked Haynesville will play host to neighboring, 7th ranked, Arcadia at 7:30 pm.  Haynesville boasts a record of 10-2 and Arcadia has a very respectable 10-3. Interesting to note is that even though this is a home game for Haynesville, both of their losses this year were at home.  However, two of Arcadia's three losses were on the road.  With another win tomorrow night, Haynesville will play once again for the State Championship next Friday, December 11 at 4:30pm in the Super Dome against the winner of tomorrow night's game between 1st ranked Kentwood and #4 Oak Grove.
