Santa has officially arrived in Shreveport, launching the beloved annual charity event: Operation Santa Claus! Our community mission has begun to ensure that every good boy and girl in the area receives a new toy this Christmas. With deadlines approaching quickly, we need your help to hit the streets and fill our collection bins.

What is Operation Santa Claus?

Operation Santa Claus is a Shreveport-based charity initiative that has been making local kids smile for over 40 years. Founded by legendary KWKH DJ Barney Cannon, the program partners with the Shreveport Fire Department, the Shreveport Police Department, and Townsquare Media. This powerful team works together to gather and distribute new, unwrapped toys to underprivileged children right here in our local community for the holiday season.

How You Can Be Part of the Mission

Wondering how you can put your holiday spirit to work? We desperately need the community to donate new, unwrapped toys or make monetary donations. The time to help is now, and there are multiple ways and locations to get involved throughout the month.

You can show up to any of the specific toy drop-off locations listed below to donate. There is even a festive Downtown Christmas Run that you can be part of, where Shreveport Police officers and firefighters will be on-site collecting toys before you hit the pavement.
