Obscure Sport o’ the Day – Underwater Hockey

Wednesday's Obscure Sport of the Day was Underwater Hockey.

I don't know why they call it UNDERwater hockey!  Just call it water hockey!  I mean... they don't call it "on top of ice" hockey!  Actually, this obscure sport does go by different names.  Water hockey and Octopush are commonly used terms for this sport.

If you're imagining a sport similar to ice hockey, except played at the bottom of a pool, then you're imagining correctly. Personally, I'm against any sport that requires holding your breath. Also, this has to be the worst spectator sport EVER! All the action is UNDER WATER!
