Nicholas is a paramedic with Bossier Parish and according to his wife, Annabeth, he's not only prepared to handle those critical times, but he's more than happy to do whatever it takes to come to the aid of those when emergencies arise.

And he brings that same love home to his wife and children. It's his compassion and willingness to serve that we celebrate this week as we name him our latest recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

Just read what Annabeth had to say about him and you'll see why this selection was so easy.

I’d like to tell you about my husband, Nicholas Piro, because serving others is simply who he is. My husband is a paramedic, and every day he shows up for complete strangers on some of the worst days of their lives with compassion, calmness, and strength. No matter how exhausted he is, he continues to serve our community with a heart that genuinely cares for people. What makes him even more deserving is that the same selflessness he gives to the public is the same love he brings home to our family. After long shifts, stressful calls, and sleepless nights, he still comes home and pours into me and our boys. He carries so much responsibility, often without recognition, yet continues to give everything he has to helping others. I know firsthand the emotional weight first responders carry, and I also know how easy it is for the good they do to go unnoticed because to them, it’s “just their job.” But to the families he helps, the lives he impacts, and to us at home, it’s so much more than that. He deserves to be recognized not only for the emergencies he responds to, but for the kind of man he is every single day..selfless, hardworking, compassionate, and always willing to help others before himself.

Nicholas Piro, because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Magnolia Pit Barbecue have a $50 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Nicholas to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
