Sportspectrum's 42nd Annual River Cities Triathlon will be held this Sunday, August 7, 2022, in Benton, LA. Six hundred competitors from 22 states will descend on Cypress Black Bayou Park to swim half a mile, bicycle 18.2 miles, and then run 5k or 3.11 miles. I won't lie, just thinking about it makes me tired!

If you're a past competitor or attendee, one thing to note is the new start time at 7 am. If you're going to cheer on your favorite athlete, you can track their progress as they cross the timing equipment along the course by clicking here.


Divisions included in this Sunday's race are the Invitational, a 2 and 3-person relay, the Louisiana High School Championship, by age group, and weight (designated by either Athena or Clydesdale). You can find the course map for all three phases of the race here.

Packet pickup and registration for this Sunday's race will be at Sportspectrum, located at 6970 Fern Avenue in Shreveport, this Friday, August 5th from 10 am - 6 pm and then again Saturday, August 6th from 10 am to 5:30 pm. There will be no registration or packet pickup on the day of the race.
