Political correctness is driving our wonderful country into the depths of mediocrity. People are afraid of labeling a child as a "loser" just because he/she didn't finish on top.

Let me set the record straight here.  Losing does NOT make you a "LOSER."  Nor does winning make you "WINNER."  It only means that on the field of battle today, one was better than the other.

But because of the fear of labeling kids "losers" , Americans determined that all kids should get a "Participation" trophy, even if they didn't win.  However, it looks like we're starting to tire of that mentality.

In a new Reason Rupe Poll, Americans were asked if they think only kids who win things should get trophies, or if every kid should get a trophy and the majority, 57% of us say only winners deserve trophies.

However, it looks as though the majority of those who supported trophies for only winners were clearly older, more educated and affluent.

The more money you make, the more likely you are to think only winners should get trophies.

The more education you have, the more likely you are to think only winners should get trophies.

And the older you are, the more likely you are to think only winners should get trophies.
