Mudbugs fans will gather in droves this week to celebrate and send-off their NAHL National Champions.

This has been one of the most exciting weeks in Mudbugs hockey history, and that's a long, storied history. In total, the Mudbugs have won six league championships since 1997. Each championship is beyond meaningful for our city, as they are simply so hard to come by in any level of the sport.

This week, the Mudbugs won their sixth championship in Blaine, MN, defeating the Aberdeen Wings for the Robertson Cup. The celebration has been endless on social media as Shreveport Mudbugs fans continue to relive the magical season that culminated in yet another championship.

Now, the fans get to celebrate with the team one last time, and yes, the Robertson Cup will be there.

This will be the last chance for Mudbugs fans to see and interact with this team, as many of them have unfortunately played their final hockey game in Shreveport. The send-of party is always bittersweet after a hard-fought season, as it's never easy to say goodbye to the team. This season, much like 2018's send-off, will be extra-sweet as we'll get to celebrate their incredible victory with them.

The party will be held tomorrow, Friday, at George's Pond. As always, it will be filled with activities for the fans like meet-and-greets, jersey auctions, and games. They'll also be taking orders on limited-edition championship t-shirts.

The celebration and send-off party is scheduled to kick-off at 6:00 PM and is listed to wrap-up by 8:00 PM.
