Additionally, because of that project, the entrance and exit ramps to/from Old Minden Road are closed and beginning Tuesday, the entrance/exit ramps from Industrial Drive are set to be closed.

There are the occasional delays around the corridor where the new Jimmie Davis Bridge will be constructed and we've just received word of another problem area from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

In a notice to all travelers, DOTD announced that beginning next Wednesday, August 7, the southbound outside (right) lane of LA 3 (Benton Road) will be closed from Montgomery Lane to Shed Road in Bossier City.

The DOTD explains that these lane closures are necessary to allow the contractor for the ongoing Walter O. Bigby Carriageway project to work on Shed Road near the intersection with Benton Road and is anticipated to last approximately four weeks.

DOTD reminds citizens that this project is being managed by the City of Bossier. Inquiries about the project itself should be directed to the city.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.

While some of these have been missing for over 50 years and are likely deceased, many have escaped prison in the past 10 years and could likely still be in Louisiana so keep your eyes peeled and should you spot one of these criminals, immediately contact police.
