Great fathers seem to have one thing in common. Secretly, they all hope their kids think of them as a Super Hero of sorts.

Well, this should settle that debate for Mike Massey, as his daughter, Beth Massey, made it known to all of us just how amazing her Dad is!

Mike is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award, but we would have never known of his kind, selfless acts, if it hadn't been for Beth taking the time to submit this amazing nomination letter, so Beth, THANK YOU for sharing the letter and your Dad with all of us!

My dad Mike Massey is THE definition of a GOOD man! He is selfless & always willing to help others! Me being a 100% single mom he steps in as a father figure & makes sure that my daughter receives all the love that she needs! Whenever anyone in the neighborhood needs to borrow a tool or something around their house needs repair, he is always there willing to lend a helping hand. Earlier this year, on a super cold windy day my Dad gave his jacket to one of the women in the stands at the ballpark so that she wouldn’t be cold. He would literally give anyone the shirt off his back! 3 years ago he was diagnosed with cancer & beat it…unfortunately it has recently returned but that hasn’t stopped him one bit from helping others. He is our rock! No matter how terrible he feels he makes sure that our Family is taken care of! We would be lost without him & we are so thankful that he stays strong! We have had lots of love & support from the community! Good karma is real! Thanks, Dad, for always being a GOOD man! We love you so much!

Mike Massey, thank you for being so amazing! You are a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live! And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Mike to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
