Very often when we open one of the nomination letters for Kiss Country's Caught in the Act Award, we can literally "feel" the love the writer has for the person they're nominating.

That was certainly the case when we opened the letter from Renee Getsinger about Mary Sims. Not only is it obvious that Renee truly admires Mrs. Mary, but that admiration has transformed into a real love.

And we can certainly see why! Mary Sims is one of those people that just makes the world a better place and it was easy to name her this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Mrs. Mary is just an all around good person. She has a friend that was recently in a vehicle accident that left her pretty beat up and in a wheel chair. Her friend needed some help getting things straightened out and she didn’t hesitate to jump in and help. She brought her in to her home to help her and take care of her until she could get some home health. Anytime anyone needs help you can call Mrs. Mary and she will be right there to help. She also serves in our kitchen at church. Whether it be a funeral or group of volunteers to feed she is always there and ready to help. She is always watching kids whether it’s her grandkids or kids of her friends. She recently had some health issues of her own but she never let it slow her down on serving others. If we had more people like her this world would be a better place.

Mary Sims, thank you for being so amazing! You are a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live! And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Mary to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
