When we read the nomination letter we received from Allison Still regarding Mandie Rhymes, we realized that we were essentially in the presence of greatness!

See, Mandie not only had her "I care about others antenna" up, but with her volunteer work at Salvation Army, she recognized a need for less fortunate girls and boys, and then she put her "I can do it" hat on and filled this huge need.  The timing of this one couldn't be better, with today being Halloween, and the efforts of Mandie have given so many kids the chance to trick or treat with costumes provided by the Boys and Girls Club.

Because of Mandie's heart, and the kindness of Allison to let us know about her, she's this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

Just look at the letter we got!

Mandie has recently started volunteering at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls club. One afternoon, one of the kids expressed to her that they weren't going to be able to go trick or treating because their mom couldn't afford to buy them a costume. Mandie being the kind hearted, giving person that she is, she reached out to her friends and family and pulled together 100+ costumes to donate to the Boys and Girls club for the kids to be able to "shop" through and choose the perfect costume for them! That's just one of the many things that Mandie has done to help around the community. To say that she touches the hearts of all who meet her, would be an understatement! I'm blessed to call her one of my best friends!

Mandie Rhymes, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Mandie to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
