Man Arrested For Allegedly Hitting Young Boy With His Car

Floyd Scroggins, 55, has been arrested for allegedly being involved in a hit and run accident. Police say Scroggins hit a 6 year old boy with his car near the intersection of Broadway and Hollywood Avenue around 5 pm Thursday evening.

The young boy suffered a broken pelvis and several cuts but is expected to make a full recovery. Police were able to match pieces of a broken headlight found at the scene to Scroggins' car.

He has been charged with negligent vehicular injury, hit and run, obstruction of justice, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
