Louisiana Peach Festival in Ruston This Weekend

It's festival season here in Kiss Country and one of our favorites is this weekend!  Time for the "Louisiana Peach Festival" in Ruston.  It'll run Friday from 5 to 10pm and Saturday from 8am to 10pm in front of the Ruston Civic Center.  Friday features a pet show and peach-eating contest in Railroad Park, then a concert on the festival stage featuring Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band.  Saturday's events include the parade, a golf tournament, the "Diaper Derby", and a concert Saturday night with Louisiana's own Sammy Kershaw.

Plus, there are approximately 200 artisans and vendors, all in one location! You’ll find merchandise and re-sale vendors at Trenton Street Marketplace on the front lawn of the Ruston City Hall, and hand-made arts and crafts both inside and outside the Civic Center.
