Shreveport’s Mudbug Madness Festival Is on for May
The Mudbug Madness Festival is back on for this year. The festival will be held on May 28-30th this spring. The event was cancelled last year because of the pandemic. But Louisiana is now in Phase 3 and more festivals and events can be held.
Masks will be required and capacity is 50%. Beer will also be restricted to a "beer garden" area.
Mudbug Madness has been a staple in Shreveport since 1984. It was originally a 2 day festival but it's now a 3-day event held at festival plaza over Memorial Day weekend. It is now one of Louisiana’s largest and most popular Cajun festivals. You will get to hear some of the best Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Jazz artists from all over our state.
And if you love Cajun food, you will not be disappointed. Of course you will find hot boiled crawfish, but you can also scoop up crawfish etouffee, gumbo, crawfish pies and much more.
Mudbug Madness is nationally recognized as one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events and the American Bus Association’s Top 100 Event in the nation.
