Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles Will Now Take Credit Cards

If you've got to renew your driver's license in Louisiana, but you're out of cash, don't worry. Charge it!

It's official now. The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles will take your debit and credit cards and e-checks.

Now, not only can you pay 25% interest on your kids' Happy Meal, but you can do the same with your driver's license.  So if you forget to stop by the ATM before you're standing in line, that lapse of memory won't send you out of the building anymore.

Course, using your debit or credit card will cost you an additional fee of $1,25 plus 1 percent of the total charge on the transaction and there's a $1.00 fee to use an e-check.
