Krewe of Centaur Parade – The parade will begin Saturday at 4:30pm rain or shine. Something to remember though is that the route for this year’s parade is exactly OPPOSITE from last year.  The parade will begin in downtown Shreveport on Clyde Fant Parkway at Lake Street.  It will head south to Shreveport-Barksdale Highway and will continue westward to East Kings Highway where it will turn south and continue to Preston.  The parade will end just before Preston where the “Parade End” sign is located.  Floats MUST stop throwing at this point.

Krewe of Atlas Grand Ball – Friday – 6:30pm to midnight at Diamond Jacks Ballroom

Minden St. Jude Auction - Minden Civic Center - Events scheduled all the way through Sunday.  (Oh and yes, they'll have the Super Bowl on TV Sunday)  Loads of auction and raffle items with all proceeds going to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  Lunches and suppers will be for sale donated by local organizations.  Events include the Louisiana State Championship Chili Cook Off, Minden St. Jude 5k/10k Walk/Run,  and a blood drive on Saturday.  Go to mindenstjude.com for more information.

Sign Up For Haughton Dixie Baseball/Softball - If you’ve got a youngster in the Haughton area that would like to participate in this spring’s Dixie baseball or softball season, the registration process is underway.  Online registration is open until February 15 at Eteamz.com.  Walk up registrations will be accepted tomorrow and next Saturday from 9am until 2pm each day at the Princeton Baseball Fields on Little League Drive in Princeton.

Super Bowl – Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49’ers live from the Super Dome.  Televised on CBS.  Kick off at 5:30pm
