Kimber Hooks not only delivers the mail, but this "mailman" also delivers a dose of goodness every day. And that's exactly why Kimber is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

This unassuming "angel on Earth" always has her eye open for the opportunity to help others, but we would have never known about this incredible lady if Mark Haines hadn't nominated her, so Thank You Mark!

Just look at Kimber's nomination letter he submitted to tell us about this woman we are so blessed to have right here in our community!

Kimber is a Mail carrier in Marshall Tx. Her heart is good as gold. She is constantly helping others. Recently for example there was an elderly man on her mail route who was in need and has many illnesses, but being a veteran refused to ask for help. Kimber when seeing this went out after working her long day and purchased the man food and supplies. On top of it she made some calls and had his grass cut so the man does not have to go outside during this outbreak. I could never count the times she has randomly done things for the community from gathering food, supplies, clothing, etc. Recently the American Legion has started collecting masks for the elderly and people with underlying conditions in the community. What does Kimber do? You guest it, she makes calls and orders a bunch of homemade masks to be made to donate. She is a wife, mother, and leader for our community with a s uper giving heart. If anyone is deserving it would be her! Thank you for your consideration.

Kimber Hooks, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
