The Kansas City Southern (KCS) Holiday Express train will chug into Shreveport December 5th. The train will be decked out in Christmas decorations for all to enjoy during its stop at Festival Plaza in Downtown Shreveport. And of course, Santa and his elves will be on board!

The Holiday Express Train is FREE and open to the public!

The kids are gonna love this! The Holiday Express train includes six cars, three of which you can tour! Included are: a smiling tank car “Rudy”, a car carrying Santa’s sleigh along with reindeer, a miniature village, a ginger bread boxcar, the elves’ workshop, the reindeer stable, and a little red caboose to wrap it all up! The caboose is where you will be able to visit with Santa.

 

The Holiday Express will stop at Festival Plaza in Shreveport at 4pm December 5th, the Express then heads to Texarkana for its next stop at the KCS yard located at 1000 West 7th Street. The Texarkana stop will be at 5pm December 6th.

 

 

This is the 11th year for the KCS Holiday Express. The train passes through 25 communities throughout Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas and Illinois. One each of its stops the Holiday Express makes a donation to local Salvation Army organizations.
