Kathy Felicetty Is Newest Caught in the Act Recipient

Reading the nomination letter we received from her grandson, Kegan, we were left wondering just how Kathy Felicetty finds the time to do all that she does to make this a better world.

However she does it, we are just so thankful for all her incredible acts of kindness to Veterans, her church, her family and our community as a whole.

Just read that letter and you'll see just how easy it was to name Kathy Felicetty this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

My grandma is the most selfless and Godly person I know. You’d think that retirement would mean slowing down but for her, but since retiring from porters dry cleaning after 31 years , it has given her more of an opportunity to donate more of her time. She volunteers with meals on wheels and is active in the Patriot Guard Riders, attending funerals of veterans who have passed away and making sure that they get the respect they deserve, as well as going to the VA to hand out coffee and cookies. She also helps take care of 2 of her sisters who have fallen on bad health. She is very active in her church, and very active in whatever sport her grandchildren are participating in, never missing a game, no matter the weather. You can count on her bringing a Diet Coke and a sack full of snacks everywhere she goes, just in case someone gets a hankering for some goldfish . Now she has 3 great- grandkids she gets to spoil and believe me, she never misses an opportunity to do just that.
Grandma, you are an inspiration to not only your grand children, but I hope when others hear this, you inspire them as well. You have taught me that no matter what we have going in life, there’s always time to reach out and bring a smile to someone’s face. She truly is an amazing human and if there were more of my grandmas on this earth, it would be a much better place. But, I’m glad there’s only one Grandma Felicetty, and she’s mine.
