Country superstar Justin Moore spent this morning on the phone with Gary and Julie and the only thing we found bad about him was that he's an Arkansas Razorbacks fan. At least he's an SEC fan, huh? He was on the bus in Texas and because he's such a dedicated Dad, his 4-year-old daughter decided that she'd go on this trip, too.

In an effort to get anything "political" out of the way, we immediately asked the singer about his performance at Sea World.

Because of the recent controversy involving the movie "Black Fish" and its allegations of abusive animal treatment at Sea World, several stars including Willie Nelson, Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride cancelled their scheduled concerts at Sea World. But not Justin. He played just as scheduled on February 23.

According to Moore, after doing his own research he was convinced that there was no need to pull the plug on his appearance and that "people make assumptions based on what one side is saying, but there's always two sides to every story," adding, "I would suggest to people to do their own research and make their own opinion."

Moore jokingly referred to his current single "Lettin' The Night Roll" as "just more mediocre crap." He admitted his excitement about his first ACM nomination for "New Artist of the Year."

In fact, Justin Moore fans can vote for him every day from March 24 - April 6 at VoteACM.com. He laughed about the fact that he's been around for six years now but is now up for "New Artist." Moore joked that "I'd take Female Vocalist if they'd give it to me."

But Moore is truly grateful for the honor, revealing how his parents "both took second jobs to help me with this dream."

Moore said that he and his wife Kate -- who's originally from Houma, Louisiana -- lived in Nashville for about 10 years, but decided they wanted to move back to Arkansas so they could raise their kids like he was raised. And Moore takes that Dad role very seriously, saying that he's really slowed things down a lot this year: he only has 100 concert dates on the schedule, and that when he's home, he's home.

Moore also spends lots of time with his two daughters and enjoys spending that time with them in the kitchen cooking. He and Kate are expecting their third child and hoping they'll get the boy they've dreamed of adding to their family.

Take a listen to all three segments of our interview and we're sure you'll agree that Justin Moore is not only a talented singer, but a well-spoken, hard-working and an overall great guy!

Thanks Justin -- we really enjoyed the chat!
