Justin Bloxom We Care About Our Kids Day

Though the day might be over, the memories of the smiles will last a lifetime!  It was a smash!  Justin Bloxom We Care About Our Kids Day at Sheriff's Safety Town was not only loads of fun for both the young and young at heart, it was one of the most informative adventures of my life.  Even my wife Julie, and my 2 younger boys, Craig and Colt, learned a ton.  My neice Lindsey showed up and brought her daughter Molly Claire and though Molly wasn't too attentive, she enjoyed the afternoon playing in the grass and watching the "big boys" ride bicycles through Safety Town.  The Caddo Sheriff's Department couldn't have been more helpful.  Deputies were everywhere with loads of info for parents and fielded literally thousands of questions.  Even Sheriff Steve Prator enjoyed the afternoon watching as the kids learned everything from Water Safety, Fire Safety and Weather Safety to Stranger Danger and the proper ways to cross streets.The Shreveport Fire Department was also on hand and children flocked to the fire trucks to sound the alarms.  Many thanks again to Sheriff's Safety Town and all those involved, including Mother Nature, for being such gracious hosts and we look forward to doing this again next year!
