With Geek’d Con 2026 right around the corner, I feel like it is my absolute duty to hype up the best food spots nearby. If you’re heading downtown, there is one restaurant that constantly gets overlooked, and honestly? I have no idea why.

Let me introduce you to the pure culinary goodness that is The Noble Savage.

When I first started hanging out there, I stumbled onto one dish that completely blew me away, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I am fully convinced that The Noble Savage is serving up the best Chicken Alfredo in town.

What makes it superior? It’s simple: everything is made to order. Somehow, even with scratch preparation, this rich, velvety sauce tastes like angels prepared it. In reality, it’s just Chef Jasmine Cherry showing off her incredible talent in the kitchen!

A lot of locals still think of The Noble Savage as just a cool downtown bar, but owner Shilpan Patel and Chef Cherry have quietly started a full-blown foodie movement in Downtown Shreveport. This isn't a "dive bar" it’s a premier destination for some of the absolute best bites in the 318.

If you aren't in the mood for pasta, the rest of the menu hits just as hard:

The Brussels Sprouts: Truly worth celebrating. I recently brought a friend who swore she hated brussels sprouts, and after one bite, she was an instant believer.

The Savage Bowl: Perfect if you want to keep it light without sacrificing flavor. It comes packed with perfectly cooked salmon, rice, fresh cucumbers for that ideal crunch, and a magical sauce that had me wondering why I took so long to order it.

The Bread Pudding: Absolutely unreal. Chef Cherry claims the secret is the balance between the brioche and croissants, but I think her heavenly sauce steals the show.

Whether you're looking for a quick lunch, grabbing a bite during Geek'd Con weekend, or planning a stellar date night, stop sleeping on the incredible food hiding right in plain sight at The Noble Savage!
