Jessica Roberts loves her Momma! But apparently everyone loves her Momma! Joyce Moore is one of those, once in a lifetime, kind of people, who understands "It's not about me." "It's about all those around me."

Even in the midst of her own troubles and strife, she's proved that she'll put herself in the backseat so that she can help others. What an inspiration to so many! And she's this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just take a look at the nomination letter we got from her daughter Jessica and you'll see why.

To know her is to love her! My mom has worked at Waskom High School for 27 yrs., she has raised four girls, she has nine grandkids, and two great-grandkids. On July 1st she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, shortly after she was diagnosed with Corona, along with my dad & daughter. She was the only one who could care for my dad & daughter and she did, despite her cancer, despite her having Corona, despite her grieving the loss of her sister just a couple of weeks prior. There truly are not enough words to express the willingness my mom has to help anyone. Parents with kids enrolled at WHS love her, the staff loves her, and despite her cancer and chemo treatments she has not missed much work. My mom is a true representation of strength, of faith, she puts everyone before her even though we tell her to focus on herself. Our family has never dealt with cancer, I never thought I would have to watch my mom shave her head, but I did, and she did it with pride. Her strength, her determination, her faith over fear deserves recognition, and I couldn’t think of any other way, but to let the world know.

Joyce Moore, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
