Hamilton was the number one overall pick in the MLB draft in 1999.  He was supposed to be the next great thing.  His struggles with addiction kept him from achieving what his potential had all but promised him.  Since cleaning up his life and signing with the Rangers, Hamilton has achieved some amazing feats.  He helped bring the Texas Rangers to their first ever World Series.  He has won an American League MVP award.  And, of course, he made the world stop and watch in the 2008 MLB Home Run Derby.
