When most of us think of a “big” baby, we’re thinking 9 or 10 pounds.  Well, Janet Johnson of Longview, Texas knows what a “BIG” baby is.  Friday, she gave birth to  JaMichael who weighed in over 16 pounds making him one of the largest babies ever born in Texas (where everything IS bigger) and earning him the nickname, “Moose”.  Doctors told Janet and fiancé Michael Brown that their son would weigh 12 or 13 pounds at birth but even they couldn’t imagine he’d be 16 pounds, 1 ounce, 24 inches long with a head full of hair.  I’m only guessing here but it wouldn’t surprise me if he also had a full set of teeth and can walk.  Janet was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during the pregnancy which may have contributed to the baby’s massive size.  Good Shepherd says Moose is the largest baby ever born in their hospital and that he’s now on a feeding tube and doctors are keeping a close watch on his blood sugar, but expect him to be just fine.  Understandably, Dad sees FOOTBALL in his son’s future.  Read the full story from ABC News.
