When Jake Owen stepped on the infield stage at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday (Feb. 17) for a performance preceding the Daytona 500, the Florida native seemed downright giddy to have the chance to sing his current single “Down to the Honkytonk” to thousands of NASCAR fans.

But little did we know that he also made someone else very happy during his mini-concert.

“When you get to play drums on stage before the Daytona 500,” NASCAR star Kevin Harvick’s wife DeLana tweeted out on Monday (Feb. 18), alongside a video in which Owen picked up their son Keelan to take a spot behind the drum kit during his performance.

The adorable moment took place as Owen sang his hit song “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” in front of hundreds of fans before the legendary race.

Indeed, Owen not only has a ton of sporty friends—not only in the NASCAR garage, but also on the golf course. In fact, the singer shared on Instagram that he recently got to spend some quality time with pro golfer Jordan Spieth.

"Just reminiscing about an awesome week @attproam with my buddy @jordanspieth,” Owen captioned his shot. “Thanks for putting up with my mediocre golf game for the past 5 years. Also, having my twin bro Jarrod on the bag caddying for the week was super special. Thanks to Steve John, Clint Eastwood, the volunteers and the entire team for always timing such great care of us. I’m proud to come back every year.”
