When I Lived In North Bossier There Was Always One Spot for Coffee on Saturdays and Sundays.

I was a regular on the weekends at the Starbucks on Airline and Beene, the parking lot was always a mess but the staff always worked hard to put drinks out as fast as they could.

There Were Several Slow Downs That This Starbucks Has Experienced.

I have attempted to walk into this Starbucks in the middle of the day with no luck. One day I was going to get a pedicure next door and I saw several frustrated customers walking away. a man walked past me and said "They closed the lobby again you need to go to the drive-through."

I Have Seen Several Facebook Posts From Frustrated Bossier Residents.

"What is happening at the Beene Starbucks?" another post said "Is there a barista shortage in Bossier? Can't get my coffee 3 days in a row now" Both of these statuses got multiple people asking questions and several Bossier residents claimed that they too have noticed a disruption in the flow of services at this Starbucks.

I decided to go through the drive-thru to find out what was going on. The employee at the window confirmed that they are struggling to keep employees. "No one wants to work or show up to work and we are short-staffed but we are working on hiring a bunch of new people."

We All Know That the Food Service and Hospitality Businesses Struggle to Retain Workers.

The most recent jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics claims that thousands of individuals are joining the workforce, however, labor force participation is a whole different ballgame. The labor force still does not match what it was before the pandemic. This could be a big reason why many of us are not able to get our coffee fix at our favorite spots or we may experience slow service at our favorite restaurants.

Please Do Your Best to Be Kind to Our Friends Working Hard to Provide a Service For Us.

Truly we have a choice, and it's easy to gripe and moan. However please remember the people that are showing up to work are doing their best, and guess what? They showed up. To serve YOU. Please tip and be kind.
